Savi and Jefe's pups were born May 18th mid afternoon. The whelping went very
smoothly and produced 2 boys and 2 girls all a beautiful sable color. Two are sable
pied and two are sable with white. They are strong and healthy gaining weight
consistently. I will update pictures when they all open their eyes.
Starborn's Nina Sabia "Savi"
Starborn Jefe Juan Pequeno
The pups are 3 weeks old below. They have opened their eyes and are getting very coordinated and mobile. They
have a grate over a piddle pad in the whelping box and have started using it. The pups have temporary names
celebrating spring since they were born May 18th. We call them all puppy but it helps to keep them straight in
pictures to put a name on them. So introducing Spring, Sprout, Bud, And Bloom.
The pups are now 4 1/2 weeks. They have moved to an ex pen and are using the grated piddle pad and a
litter box and keeping the bedding completely dry. I have added some hanging toys and music boxes and a
rattle ball the size of them that they love! They are bouncing, wrestling, growling, and I hear an occasional
bark. They love to be handled and will compete for attention. Soon they will enjoy their first messy meal....
Pups at 10 days
The pups are 6 1/2 weeks now. Savi has weaned them and they are enjoying their new meals. They play several
times a day on the screened porch and love the space to run around. There are a couple of videos on our youtube
channel of them playing on the porch. It was a very hot day so they are a little slower than usual in the movies.
Finally new pictures!! We were pretty sleeping in this photo shoot from playing so hard...We are 9 weeks and are getting ready for
our new homes. We haven't changed much in looks but we have been learning a lot! We love playing on the porch but it has been
so hot that we set up a big indoor pen with new things to play with. We also get to spend time out in the evening with the big dogs
and our people's laps. We are using the litter box and piddle pads and rarely have an accident. We will learn to sleep in crates this
week, getting ready for our next big adventure!
