Jefe (pronounced Hef-ay) is out of our “Belle” sired by our an interesting history with our line. Finn represents a long line of “Y” chromosome (15 generations) back to “Juan Pequeno” one of the first recorded Cuban Havanese whose descendants  came to this country. Our Jefe’s ancestor “Jefe Pequeno” was one of the first Havanese that Dorothy Goodale acquired from a Cuban defector to Costa Rica when she was starting to establish the breed here in the U.S. during the early 70’s. Jefe is our benevolent boy….gentle and sweet, much like his dad and half brother Brio.  He loves puppies and will let them crawl all over him….  He is a great athelete and loves competing with Posh at fetch, but is also content with being second in command….and letting Posh take the lead in our pack.  Tibby is our first Jefe sired puppy and she definately inherited her dad’s sweetness!
