A big thank you goes to my friend Robin (breeder: Gilwood Havanese) and new friends, Owen
and Kelley (owners: Flash Of Paw Havanese) for allowing me to breed my (heart dog)  "Nike" to
their handsome and talented boy "Tate".  Together they have produced a beautiful litter of 6
pups.  Hopefully one of them is destined to continue one much loved branch of our Starborn line :)
In the wee morning hours of December 18th, between 1:00 and 5:00 a.m., the time that the stars of the
Winter Circle can be viewed in the Southeastern sky, I was busy assisting Nike whelp her last litter of
puppies.  I was hopeful that she might have an exceptional boy to carry on the line of our foundation girl
"Twinkle".  Nike surpassed my hopes by having the largest litter of her breeding career with 6 beautiful
pups....4 boys and 2 girls!! With stars on my mind and thinking of Nike's grandmother "Twinkle Little
Star",  I had to go with stars as the theme for naming the new pups. Introducing our newest stars (of the
Winter Circle) Capella, Sirius (girls), Aldebaran, Rigel, Castor, and Procyon (boys).

We are 4 weeks old already!  We are busy learning to use our legs, wag our tails, and explore with our mouths.  We have also
learned we have voices and will growl during play. We had our first meal today so we may be wearing some food in the pictures
below....tomorrow we will move to a bigger pen.

Six weeks has flown by!  we have moved to a bigger sleeping pen and then we have an even bigger pen with obstacles for
playtime.  We hardly ever have a potty mistake and chow down 4 times a day.  Mom just gives us a snack during the night.  We
are so tired when bedtime comes that we sleep all night long :)

The pups will be 8 weeks in a couple of days, so I decided to start the soaped evaluation process.  I only got through the boys today, so I
will post the girls new pics tomorrow.  I was really pleased at how nice the boys are proportioned with nice angulation and gorgeous
coats!  They are all sweet and cuddly but also happy, active, and food motivated...which will make training easier. Their expressions are
funny because Tom was making some very weird sounds to get their attention!  Update...The girls turned out great too!
